Product description 

This flame-retardant hood made of the high-performance PBI fiber is of two layers and impresses with a super elastic field of vision, which provides ideal protection, but gives the wearer optimal freedom of vision every second! The extended neck and neck area offer a safe extra protection. The seams running along the sides offer a very high wearing comfort thanks to innovative special seams. The seams are hardly noticeable and also reduce pressure. The soft aramid-viscose mixture on the inside of the hood guarantees a very soft feel. The fabric is certified according to DIN EN ISO 11612, EN 1149-5 and additionally the hood is certified according to EN 13911. Flame-retardant due to the use of aramid and Lenzing FR.

Product instructions

  • Comazo|protect relies on aramid for flame protection. The special yarn consists of approximately 115 individual fibers and thus exhibits extremely high strength.

Material

  • Base layers made of aramid are particularly robust and are characterized by high strength, making them ideal for protecting the wearer and are widely used in the field of PPE.

  • Belltron® is an antistatic, carbon-containing light fiber. Even by adding small quantities of Belltron® to the main material, the workwear has antistatic properties, which are of particular importance for work in clean rooms.

  • Lenzing FR® meets the highest demands when working in the heat or the danger of fire and protects against heat stress. Manufactured from the natural raw material beech wood, the fiber offers protection against heat in a wide variety of work areas

  • The PBI-Gold® blend consists of 40% thermally stable, flame retardant PBI fiber and 60% high tenacity para-aramid fiber.

Certification

  • EN 1149 approved protective clothing is used in environments where there is a risk of explosion.

  • This seal includes the performance requirements and test methods for fire hoods to protect the head and neck from heat and flames.

  • This seal is specifically designed for protective clothing for end users who are exposed to brief contact with flames and against a limited amount of convective, contact and radiant heat.
